Armand, who trades farm machines in the countryside, is a middle-aged homosexual man who is fairly popular among the group of men. When he was tired of his life, he fell in love with a teenage girl, Curly. The two fled from her parents and police. On the other hand, among the gays in the village, some peculiar illegal food known to boost sexual capacity was circulating; so the police started an investigation. It is a unique film which naturally yet unfamiliarly portrays the everyday life and worries of a homosexual man. Unlike handsome and sleek urban men who appear as gay people on the screen, a middle-aged man from the countryside is enough to break the fixed idea and ensures extraordinary approach. Full of his own characters, Alain Guiraudie’s third feature film won’t let the audience down.
