Michel, a good-looking man, is a natural born womanizer and professional gigolo. Like many other women, Gloria falls in love with him. One day, seeing Michel cheating on her, Gloria becomes obsessed with following him everywhere he goes. Soon afterward, bodies start piling up on the streets. The film begins with a woman washing a body, and then shows a childish gigolo struggling with a migraine headache, thus generating an atmosphere of foreboding. In the four chapters named after women, a woman overwhelmed by madness engages in unimaginably grotesque activities, going ahead with her killing spree. This breathtaking thriller about the horrifying result of jealousy is strengthened by the lead actress’ amazing performance in realizing an incredible character. The last shot depicts the fragile man and woman who are completely separated from their reality. This is the fourth feature by Fabrice Du Welz who has strengthened his position as a master of horror-thrillers on the heels of Calvaire(2004) and Vinyan(2008) screenings at Venice and Cannes.
