Program Note
Strangers invade a sacred, fog-ridden forest, hunting for rabbits surprised, an indigenous forest-dweller tracks for the hunters by listening to the sound of their shotguns. The forest-dweller throws his axe in the belief he has located the invaders.

Ali Mohammad Ghasemi
Ali Mohammad Ghasemi was born on 1970 in Malayer, Iran. His cinematic career started in 1985 when he made 8mm short films for the Iranian Young Cinema Society. Besides directing short films, he has been involved in the production of many different films as photographer, editor and cameraman. He received the Golden Plaque from the Edeon Film Festival in Yugoslavia. His short film [Stranger and Native] was selected at the competition section of the 40th Critics’ Week of the Cannes International Film Festival in 2001.
