With a running time under an hour, this eccentric film titled "Shorts" contains four short films. This film is unique not only because of its tongue-in-cheek title, but also because the film has no director. <b>Shorts</b> is a playful film based on the question of "What if a film is without a director?." Employing a touch of documentary style, the film contains a new way of communicationing between the filmmakers and performers at the actual spot of the filmmaking. What lies beyond the usual dichotomy of production team/performers is freedom, which may enable the filmmakers to make a film devoid of any restrictions. (Shion Yang)
