After a man’s death, his daughter and wife hand the casket of her father to a carrier. While they are climbing the steep mountains, they accidently drop the casket and an argument breaks out between the daughter and the carrier. The angry carrier takes off leaving them behind. The ordeal of the mother and daughter reaches a climax when a soldier appears and stops them from moving any further. A film about the tension and eventual reconciliation between mother and daughter, who have to live in the world of men, symbolized by the father, carrier, and soldier. (Hong Hyosook)
