Program Note
A 2006 Pusan Bank Fund project by Asian Network of Documentary. The documentary is about Bing, who was born in 1982. The film investigates the cause of his broken home and his parents’ divorce. He becomes more disappointed at the proof of wrongs his parents have done and sets out to their hometown to find the reason that drove them to such situation. This long journey makes him understand the lives of his parents and that the history played a big role in their tragedy. The director expresses his intention for the film that “through this documentary, you will see the danger and challenges that traditional families have to face in the present society and the reason their history is provided. At the same time, you will see the lethargy and solitude of members of contemporary society and their bitter struggle to maintain a decent life.” (Kim Ji-suk)
