Program Note
Rinko Tatsumi is a quiet, reserved woman in her mid-thirties. She works as an emergency phone counselor at the county mental health center. She is very capable and her husband Shigehiko is an important businessman. They have no children. One day, Rinko receives a strange letter in an envelope inscribed: “Your husband’s secrets”. Inside, she finds photos of herself masturbating. Rinko and Shigehiko have a peaceful, quiet marriage. Shigehiko is a workaholic and an obsessively clean person. Nevertheless, Rinko loves him dearly. He does not touch her, however, and they do not share a bed. After the arrival of the strange letter, Rinko starts to feel uneasy and anxious. She becomes even more anxious when she receives a phone call from the man who sent the photographs. Then the man who has been making demands of Rinko approaches Shigehiko, turning his orderly world upside down. Who is the man interfering in their lives? Can Rinko and Shigehiko restore a passionate relationship? (Production Notes)
