A tale about a girl who finds out on her 9th birthday that she had been adopted, and who heads to a war-torn Sri Lanka in search of her birth parents. This film is a moving melodrama depicting the brutal, human costs of war. Amudha lives happily with her father, a famous author, her mother, a talk show host, and two younger brothers. On her 9th birthday, her father tells her the truth behind her heritage. Her father, who worked at a refugee camp, found an abandoned child within the camp, and became famous by writing a book about Amudha and her parents. Although her foster parents show genuine love for Amudha, she is nevertheless persistent in her plans to find her birth mother. In the end, her foster parents take Amudha to Sri Lanka in search of her mother. The girl prepares a list of questions to ask her mother, such as, “Why did you leave me?”, and “Did you hug me before you left me?” Will she be able to find her birth mother in the midst of a devastated Sri Lanka? While in search for her birth mother, Amudha realizes the love of her foster parents. (Nam Dong-chul)
