Bo-kyung, a girl in her twenties living in Seoul happens to meet Ki-yong, who has just arrived from the countryside. He asks her a favor ? to come down to the countryside to meet an old man who misses his runaway daughter. Despite her hesitation, she gets in Ki- yong`s car. She feels strange when she encounters the old man and others in the countryside, but soon becomes interested in their lives. [Ad Lip Night], a new film by LEE Yoonki, who won the New Current`s Award at the 9th PIFF, is based on Japanese writer Taira Azuko`s `Ad Lip Night`. Following a journey of a woman of obscure inner state, the film reminds of his previous film This Charming Girl, yet with its richer story and brighter touches. It is worth seeing Lee`s excellent way of capturing tensions between character only by thoughtful framings and focusing on subtlety of actions. (Huh Moon-yung)
