Deeply love in love with her psychiatrist husband Doruk, Beyza is thrown off balance with strange, occasional blackouts. Meanwhile, a number of mutilated legs found around Istanbul push the city into the terror of a serial murder. Beyza falls in dilemma suspecting that one of her multiple personalities involves in the gruesome murders. To make matter worse, police investigates the case with their new expert partner Doruk. As the police follow the trails of the murderer, Beyza faces the conflicts among her personalities and the truth about herself. Shattered Soul follows the rule of conventional thriller such foreshadowing reversal ending, but the difference is that it focuses more on each character than story itself. What makes this film powerful is strong characters especially Demet Evgar who plays Beyza. It is just surprising that she is a rookie actress in Turkey. (Pak Dosin)
