Program Note

An old woman living alone eats her meal of rice and dried radish. She seems to have a family living far away but a phone call doesn’t connect. She, therefore, eats her meal alone again. (NAM Dong-chul)

Director

KO Myoung-sung

Born in 1977, Ko studied film directing at a film school in Japan and made a documentary The Zainichi Nipponjin(2005) as a thesis work. He then worked in a production ground both in Japan and Korea directing and producing Good Bye(2010), a documentary that portrays female defectors repatriated to North in 2010.
