Program Note
Belgian engineer and failed inventor Michel live with his wife Alice, son Jules, and wheelchair-bound father Herve. The day comes when Herve tells Michel that he was in fact born in a barn and adopted from Quebec. Michel promptly makes a detour after a business trip to find his roots. In Sainte-Cecile, he meets Louis, an enigmatic local with an electric car. A series of mysterious coincidences and parallels between Michel and Louis are discovered, and when the two have a car accident they unwittingly set the stage for major changes in their lives - and in the car industry. Falardeau shifts back in forth in time and constructs a near-mystical tone in this comedy-drama about two men seeking their destinies.
