What happens when the hidden truth behind an old rivalry is challenged? Artist Anna Odell stars as herself (sort of) in this drama about a class reunion. In doing so, she reveals unseen hierarchies and the nature of power and exclusion within the dynamics of groups. A woman who was bullied during all her teenage years goes to a reunion, uninvited, after many years. Alternating between fiction and documentary, director Anna Odell nonchalantly plays the main character as if she were the bullied girl herself. This realistic effect re-doubles when the reunion episode turns out to be the film shot by the main character herself. And in the later part, Anna Odell, who is both the main character of the reunion episode and the director of this film, goes out to find the real-world people of the film characters. This film is a multi-layered story with several different dimensions. This directing method has grown out of the director’s previous short film. It is to be seen if this unique style will be the feature director’s trademark. (RHEE Soue-won)
