One day in the early 1960′s, Dongho, a man in his thirties, arrives at a village inn. While absorbed in deep thought, listening to a Pansori song by the hostess, he remembers his childhood. Visiting Dongho′s village, Yubong, a vagabond Pansori singer had fallen in love with Dongho′s widowed mother, beginning their life together with Yubong′s adopted daughter recounting this life amidst the Korean War and the contempt against Pansori that developed under Westernization, this film pursues what makes Korean culture uncompromisingly Korean.
