A war drama set in present day North Caucasus. During a routine raid the soldiers become witnesses of a tragic incident. While an investigation is being carried out, the soldiers are isolated at a certain checkpoint, where an enemy sniper keeps them at gunpoint day and night. The days pass without purpose or meaning, as the soldiers begin to question why they have been contained. Only yesterday they knew nothing of a checkpoint, they knew nothing about war, and they never knew how it felt to shoot somebody. For the time being they are alive, and all they know is that their major task is to detect the enemy sniper, hiding in the dense forest.
