Program Note
Godsend was made by a rookie director based on a scenario by Kim Ki-duk. A woman who desperately wants a baby asks a girl who is considering abortion to give her the baby instead. The two arrive at an isolated vacation home to spend time in seclusion until the girl gives birth to a baby, but they unexpectedly encounter a mysterious young painter and some criminal hunters. Giving birth to a baby is a tough adventure, at least in Godsend. The woman and girl have to risk everything for the baby. The girl thought that it was a simple deal to exchange her baby for a luxury car, but danger looms because of a series of events at the vacation home. The woman tries to give up the baby when her husband seems likely to divorce her, and the girl decides to keep her baby with her. When the baby is put in danger, the only person who can save the baby now is the young mother. (NAM Dong-chul)
