Program Note
A stage actor and his ex-lover meet. They walk around, see a play and have a few drinks. He talks about the problems of an actor′s life and she about housework. After the two spend a night together without making love, the man tries to make intimate contact by visiting the woman, but their talk is empty. The turtleneck sweater symbolizes the problem in their relationship: although their interactions seem soothing, the softness is merely a cover for the vulnerability that prevents genuine contact.
