Seventeen-year-old Navid Raisi leaves his small village to look for a job as a teacher of Persian Literature. Put on a waiting list for the next available fob at the Education Center, Navid finds work as a daily worker. One night, he dreams of a young girl. A few days later, he sees the girl in real life and decides to marry her after he gets a job as a teacher. But the Education Center in still not hiring. Unable to wait any longer, he goes to the girl′s house to propose, but finds out she is a divorcee with 3 children and engaged to an old man to support her living. Upset over the situation of young girls in society, Navid protests in the streets and gets arrested. He receives a short leave from jail to register for a job opening at the Education Center, only to find that he is competing against the girl he wanted to marry. They play a game of ′Full or Empty′ to determine who will get the one job being offered. Navid loses and leaves the city on a boat, where he meets another girl-the girl from his dream.
