The poster for the 1st Pusan International Film Festival was made through materializing the image of "the ocean and the cinema."

In order to express the significance of Busan’s regional features as well as the meaning of the film festival, this poster rendered the image with computer graphics work that contains the image of the sea, which is an essential environmental condition of Busan, and the image of the gaze. This poster, which combines an intense symbolism and a stylish approach, emblemetized the film festival as a journey to the cinematic ocean with an image of a clock, which refers to temporality, and the expressive eye. This poster (by KIM Gyu-hang), which is made using computer graphics, received ceaseless praises by profefssional designers. Marking the first year of the festival, this poster, which is potent and implicative at once, became a high point that announces the 1st Pusan International Film Festival.
