Nampo-dong is where BIFF took its very first step. To commemorate this iconic place, Community BIFF will present a diverse daily lineup, ranging from Outdoor Screenings and Outdoor Stage Greetings to the grand Nampo Finale, placing the audience at the very core of the festival. Throughout BIFF Square, interactive booths hosted by local institutions and organizations will offer visitors hands-on opportunities to experience everything from filmmaking to Busan’s local culture.
The 31st BIFF Eve will be hosted by singer Kim Dahyun and Community BIFF director Owen Cho. Following the opening declaration, a ceremonial lighting performance will illuminate BIFF Square, followed by the presentation of a plaque of appreciation to this year’s “Filmmaker Loved by Busan,” actor Park Hae-joon. Singer JADU will boost the festive energy with a special stage filled with her signature dynamic spirit, while singer Kim Dahyun, who evolved from a Pansori prodigy into a versatile singer and actor, will also take the stage.
