As with last year, BIFF will have a dedicated box office for audiences who may face digital barriers, including seniors (born in or before 1960) and audiences with disabilities.

Please note that on the opening day, same-day on-site ticket purchases will only be available for the following day’s screenings at the Busan Cinema Center junction.

Furthermore, details on the 11 Barrier-Free titles and screening schedule will be posted on our website soon. So stay tuned!

Tickets for Giving with Warmth

Keep an eye out for films marked with the ♣ symbol on the schedule. A portion of sales from these screenings will be donated to non-profit organizations, including the Community Chest of Korea and Good Neighbors. This year’s lineup features 15 selected titles—five each across Korean, Asian, and World Cinema.

Following last year’s excitement, ‘Carte Blanche’ returns to BIFF with another incredible group of guests!

‘Carte Blanche’ is a French expression meaning complete freedom of choice. That said, BIFF is basically handing over the keys to three cultural icons, inviting them to choose and share films that shaped their artistic visions and to take the stage for intimate Q&A sessions with Busan audiences.

Centered around the theme ‘Filmmakers and actors who are cinephiles at heart—and beloved by cinephiles,’ this year’s spotlight features an amazing lineup. 

Director Kim Jeewoon, actor Fan Bingbing, and cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo will join the stage!

Through special screenings and Guest Visit (GV) sessions, all three guest programmers will present their personal choices and dive deep into their love for cinema.

Actors’ House remains one of the most anticipated events at BIFF, giving film lovers and festivalgoers the chance to meet acclaimed actors for intimate, deep-dive conversations.

The program offers a rare opportunity to explore their filmographies, exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, and discover the creative visions behind their work.

We’re excited to reveal 13 titles for this year's Special Program in Focus: ‘Japanese Animation Special: Masterpieces of Madness, Exhilarating Prospects 12+1.’

The lineup brings together eight historic masterpieces that shaped a century of Japanese animation; four highly anticipated new works by emerging filmmakers; and one French animation classic, The King and the Mockingbird  (1952, 1980) that deeply inspired a generation of legendary Japanese animators like Miyazaki Hayao and Takahata Isao.

This special program offers audiences a rare glimpse into both the extraordinary depth of Japanese animation’s legacy and its exciting future!

The Remake IP lineup features five standout Thai feature films that showcase some of Asia’s most inventive genre storytelling. As part of this year's Country of Honor program—and backed by Thailand’s growing initiative to expand its content ecosystem globally—BSM will highlight works rooted in Thai culture while facilitating remake rights deals and new co-production partnerships.

Selected by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), the official Hong Kong lineup includes three animated shorts and one comic. Reflecting Hong Kong’s signature fusion of traditional heritage and futuristic concepts, these titles span culinary battles, futuristic AI detective thrillers, cyber-wuxia action, and deep psychological drama.
