Manel waits for the return of fog. Enric is focused on having his first sex. Furri, who has been disabled since childhood, works as an administrator at an art museum. During a village festival, the three friends wear together puppet heads. Little by little, the film tells their hidden stories. This Spanish film is Jordi Lara’s first feature and is comparable to a fable full of mysteries. The first sequence slowly starts as the night goes away and the dawn comes. Without any background information, the conversation and mysterious lines lead the audience to the characters who are to be gradually discovered, making the film even more mysterious. The camera shows the three main characters who gradually find solutions to their respective problems either collectively or individually. In this way, the film allows the audience to reflect on the true meaning of happiness in today′s society. What is meaningful is the big portion taken by children in this entire process. The last scene full of esthetic sensibility will amazingly thouch the heart of the audience. (RHEE, Soue-won)
