A successful crime novelist finds himself involved in a kidnapping affair and discovers corruption between politicians and the mafia. Pedro Alonso (star of the series La Casa de Papel) plays a cold and ambiguous character, manipulating reality like the fiction he writes. To this character whose feelings and motivations remain enigmatic is opposed a gypsy hitman who conducts his own investigation to find the man who threatens the interests of his clan. As his first feature film, El silencio del pantano follows the tradition of Brian De PALMA and Dario ARGENTO, and offers a virtuoso thriller, where you always have to think about what is behind appearances.
