A small village in Sudan. As soon as Muzamil was born, a prophet says, "This child will die at twenty." The heartbroken father of Muzamil leaves for a foreign country in search of a job, and Muzamil grows depressed under the overprotective care of his mother and people′s sympathy. However, Muzamil changes by meeting Sulaiman, a movie director. Sulaiman′s old projector is a window to the world. As he begins to doubt the authenticity of the prophecy, another great sadness comes upon Muzamil and he begins to build his own grave. Despite her mother′s tearful efforts to stop the prophecy, his 20th birthday comes at once. Now, Muzamel is at a crossroads. It’s a stunning first feature directed by Amjad ABUALALA, a Sudan director. He portrays a superstitious, isolated village in Sudan in a dreamy yet realistic manner with light and unique color tones.
