1992. Many in Tajikistan have been killed, injured, or disappeared due to the Soviet civil war. Umed’s father is among the missing, after leaving to report on the war. One day a letter is delivered, and Umed reads it in silence.

Anisa Sabiri
Born in 1991. After graduation from Moscow University with high academic achievement, Anisa Sabiri worked as a travel guide for a few years and wrote or took photos in her spare time. In 2016, she participated in a workshop led by Fred Kelemen and Irakliy Kvirikadze at The Moscow School of New Cinema. She directed the short film Redemption (2017).
