If somebody doesn’t shed a single teardrop for ten years, what does it tell about his life? A soonto- be retired detective Kuo is living alone in a shabby hotel and is holding tightly his dark past after divorcing his wife and separating from his family. While hiding his identity, he takes care of a girl who runs a street vendor, and looks after her mother by volunteering at a hospital. He happens to be caught by the girl that he is a policeman and has looked after her mother. He struggles to settle the drug cases he was in charge of, but everything goes against him and makes his situation worse. After being kidnapped, beaten up and dumped into a forest by a suspicious gang, he is distressed remembering the tortures he inflicted on people long ago. When the girl comes to his room, he confesses that he tortured her father and fabricated crimes in the past. This film tells a sad story of a man who strives for his redemption and salvation but fails against his will. (PARK Jong-Ho)
