Program Note
Twenty-four years after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, there is still a legal prohibition against female singers singing in Iran. However, rumors start to circulate about females being permitted to sing as part of a duet. This new possibility encourages female singers to take initiatives toward the recording and release of their musical albums.

Mojtaba Mirtahmasb
Born in 1971 in the city of Kerman, Iran, Mirtahmasb was educated at Art University of Tehran, majoring in Arts in Architecture and Handicrafts. Since 1990, he worked as assistant director ans assitant sound recordist mostly in documentary filmmaking.
