Program Note
Alienation seems to be the key word for relationships in the 90s.The irony is that the expectation towards technology's ability to somehow mend this"problem"has become another way of exclusion.Radio producer Dong-Hyun,and home shopping.Dong-Hyun obsesses with memories of an old flame and Su-Hyun is in love with a friend's boyfriend.Their joint interest in music online communications start a unanimous dialogue through the net.One day the two pass without recgnizing each other,However the fime leaves a trace of hope between the two in Dong-Hyun's words that they might meet somewhere,somehow.... The film presents dilicate expressions of emotions through the exchang of computerized words and the character's narration. In the end, the message seems to be that how you communicate and not what you communicate is what is important, that spiritual contact rather than physical contact is more enduring.
