Meiyun, who runs a clothing store, learns she is pregnant while dating her boyfriend Qifeng. While waiting for the results of her ultrasound, she unexpectedly runs into her ex-husband Baoshu in the hospital lobby. Years ago, Baoshu had been wrongfully imprisoned for a crime that she committed. Now released and hospitalized following cancer surgery, he crosses paths with her in a moment that feels fated. With nowhere else to go, Baoshu turns to Meiyun for help, but he is unable to forgive her for ruining his life and betraying him.
