TYPES OF PROOF NEEDED WHEN APPLYING FOR FESTIVAL BADGES AND CINEPHILE BADGES
When applying for a Festival badge, attach one of the following documents to prove that you work in the film industry.
- If you work for a film-related company or organization, a certificate of employment issued within the last three months (Business card or employee ID is not acceptable)
※ If you are in a new company or organization, which has not been registered for BIFF, please submit a company profile and a list of recent film-related projects via email.
- Contents that can prove your filmography and movie production/promotion/distribution/investment history
※ IMDB link including personal identification information (date of birth)
※ Captured images of the ending credit with information of the film and your participation.
When applying for the Cinephile Badge, attach the following documents to prove you are studying film or video.
- Proof of enrollment or leave of absence dated within the last one month (student ID is not acceptable).
PHOTO GUIDELINE
For identification purposes, your badge photo must meet the following requirements
- A clear, high-quality color photo with your face facing forward(B/W photo is not allowed)
- No photos with hats, headphones, sunglasses, etc.
- Photos taken within the last 6 months
- File format is JPG only
- Business card size of 354*472 (3*4 ratio)
- File name must be in Korean or English without any special characters
- 500KB / Maximum file size
* If an error occurs when uploading or saving a photo, please try renaming the file or try with a new photo.
What documents are required to add a new affiliation when applying for a badge?

- Film or media-related course curriculum
Please note that new affiliation registration is only available for associations, organizations, and institutions related to the film and media industry. Submitted documents will be reviewed internally, and registration approval will be determined based on the review results. Registration may be denied if the submitted materials do not meet the festival’s criteria. The review and registration process generally takes approximately 2–3 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
WHEN CAN I GET AN APPROVAL MAIL? / DELETED THE MAIL
Once we receive your accreditation, we'll review your documents and decide whether to approve.
You will be notified within 3 days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Sometimes official emails are categorized as spam, so please check your spam folder before contacting us.
If you received a rejection email, it means you don't have the necessary qualifications to get the badge. In this case, you won't receive a payment email.
If your email for registration or payment has been deleted, please contact us by email.
For Press badges, you will be notified within 4 work days.
PAYMENT PROCESS / GROUP PAYMENT
After the accreditation is approved, please make the payment on the page emailed to you. (Payment is available with credit/debit card. Cash is unavailable)
※ For Festival or Cinephile badges, group payment is available for organizations of 20 people or more. If you wish to make a group payment, please contact us in advance.
※ Mobile payment is not available.

RE-REGISTRATION
Due to the possibility of duplicate applicant information, please access the link to the badge accreditation page sent to the email entered during the initial accreditation.
CANCELLATION
You can get a refund until 15:00 on Thursday, September 17 for Festival badge and 15:00 on Monday, September 7 for Cinephile badge. You will get a refund after deducting 30% of the fee.
(Cancellations can be made without any fee if a refund request is submitted within 24 hours from the time of payment.)
After the deadline, refunds are not possible. Refunds may take 7-10 business days to complete, depending on your credit card company.
Refund Policy for On-site Press Badges
- Please note that an on-site registration administrative fee of KRW 50,000 will be charged.
- For refunds on on-site registered badges, a 30% cancellation fee will be deducted from the total amount paid.
EDIT PERSONAL INFORMATION
You cannot amend your personal details after making a payment. If you want to change your personal information after the payment, please contact us by email.

BADGE LOST
Please wear your badge at all times, as you will not be able to access your badge benefits without it.
When you enter the theater using the film ticket issued by your badge, we will check your badge with your ticket.
When reissuing a badge due to loss or damage, there is a KRW 10,000 reissue fee for the Festival/Cinephile/Press/Platform Busan badge and a KRW 20,000 for the Market badge.
Once the badge is reissued, the previous badge will become invalid.

For the Press badge accreditation, please fill the on-site registration form and pay an administrative fee of KRW 50,000.
