Despite their disparity in social status and personalities, the two lonely women find themselves swept into a passionate, intense relationship that alters both of their lives forever. </p>Ammonite is ranked high on the year’s most anticipated films list, and director Francis Lee returns with another LGBT romance where you can “smell the mud” like his debut God’s Own Country. He requests that the film is “to be seen in a cinema, on the big screen, in the dark, with wonderful sound and a live audience.” The bleak and desolate landscape of the coastline, nuanced portrayals of the protagonists, with a captivating and melancholy atmosphere, should not be missed.
