In a Norwegian city, some middle-aged men get together every week to drink beer and sing songs. They make a choir and practice singing hard. If any of the members die, they promise to sing together at the funeral. One day, the legendary heavy metal band ‘Black Sabbath’ is set to perform in the city, and the choir is taking the stage before the main performance. While they are engaged in the performance practice, shocking news comes to them. The conductor of the choir is terminally ill. With only a few days left to live, the conductor picks up his sick body for the performance and goes to the practice room. Will they be able to finish the performance safely?
The Men′s Room begins like a jolly music drama but turns into a sad melodrama with the story of the incurable diseases. Facing unexpected death, the immature play of the middle-aged men becomes something they desperately need. It won the Nordic: DOX Award at the CPH:DOX. (Nam Dong-chul)
