A look into the history of Japan’s adult video industry through the eyes of a director with 40 years’ experience in it. Japan’s sex empire produces some of the most diverse and unconventional pornography in the world, and Tadashi Yoyogi?or Yoyochu?is a director who has led the charge. He was labeled a public enemy and criticized for spreading twisted images of sex. But at the same time, he was recognized as an explorer of human sexuality. Yoyochu was a gangster in his youth but moved to Tokyo to start his life anew, and begins a new chapter producing‘ pink films’. Success with those, he started to produce adult video industry beginning in the early 1980s. This documentary simultaneously traces Yoyochu’s personal life as well as the history of the AV industry. The argumentative interviews with both critics and supporters serve also as an evaluation of not only the artistic world but also the personal life of a man that dedicated 40 years of his life to the adult video industry?and to sex.
