Program Note
This is a ‘miraculous’ omnibus film completed by eight budding directors who gathered to make short films about kisses with a budget of only 30,000 dollars. Each piece was shot in one or two days, but the consistent quality shared between them makes it seem like works of a single mind. This is the how [KISSES] overcomes the limitations common with many omnibus films, and becomes a miraculous film as a whole. The biggest amusement of the film is to enjoy the variety of its subgenres and the scope of the various actors’ performances. This film truly brings one of the greatest joys of films: joy of new discovery. The word Panorama cannot be more suited than to this film. (JEON Chanil)
