Andrew Stephen Lee was born in San Francisco in 1988. After graduating from college, he worked as an assistant to photographer Jim Goldberg for several years and studied cinema at graduate school. His first short film <I>TOUCH</I> was in competition at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival while his graduate school work Manila Is Full of Men Named Boy premiered at Venice International Film Festival.
