Working both of Taiwan and Hong Kong, a renowned cinematographer Kwan Pung-leung and a Taiwanese director Chiang Hsiu-chiung explore the cinematic world of master cinematographer Mark Lee. From his way of unique filter method to control the light, his relationship with the directors and actors to his philosophy on cinematography, the film follows Mark Lee’s works. And it extends to how his portrayal of Taiwan has shifted not only the aesthetic of the Taiwanese cinema but changed the way of representing Taiwanese society.
