A widow finds a receipt from a pawn shop among her husband’s belongings. The pawn shop owner tells the widow that a pawned good is only retrievable when exchanged for another item. She pawns her watch and gets back her husband’s luxurious belt. Forgotten memories return with the belt and her journey to the past begins. The film depicts the interdependent relation between memory and self through the symbolic medium of a pawn shop where one pawns his/her past in order to live the present in a mysterious style.
