Former actress Sangwon (Kim Minhee) is staying with her friend Jungsoo (Song Sunmi). One afternoon, a woman visits her, wanting to learn about pursuing a career in acting. Poet Hong Uiju (Ki Joobong) has a heart condition, which has driven him to quit drinking and smoking. A young filmmaker who wishes to make a documentary about the poet is staying with him. An earnest young man who admires the poet visits him and asks a number of questions. IN OUR DAY intertwines snippets of a single day that Sangwon and Uiju experience separately. The characters’ attitudes toward life resonate in some ways—Sangwon values honesty; Uiju, fleeting moments rather than right answers or truths. Yet the film keenly observes and somberly gazes at the unease, doubt, hypocrisy, coldness, irresistible temptations, and above all, loneliness, sinking into the hearts of pure faith and kindness.
