Program Note
At twenty-one weeks pregnant, a woman decides to have an abortion— which is both legally and religiously forbidden—despite her husband’s objections. She travels to different parts of the city to secretly bury the baby she miscarries, but she cannot find a safe place. (PARK Sungho)
Director

Nasrin MOHAMMADPOUR
Born in 1989 in Mashhad, Iran, Nasrin Mohammad pour studied cinema, sociology, and feminism studies. She is a filmmaker and social activist. The director’s first short film, Left Hand (2020), won the BNP award at the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival. 21 Weeks Later is her second short film.
