Beginning with Cell Phone in 2017, Kim Hyoeun began directing short films. Her other works include Her Eyes (2018), Bye, Stranger (2019), and Nail and Reunion (2021). Her Eyes</I> won the Participation Prize at the Yecheon International Smartphone Film Festival, while Bye, Stranger won Special Prize at the 5.18 3MIN Film Festival, and was a finalist at both the Chungmuro Short Film Festival and the Kodak Apparel Short Film Festival.
