After the success of his investigative movie By the Grace of God, François Ozon shoots a sunny teen-movie on the beaches of Normandy. This summer is a decisive moment for Alexis, a teenager who discovers his sexual identity, a first love and becomes aware of death. Adapting Aidan Chambers’ book Dance on My Grave, which was one of the outstanding readings of his youth, François Ozon wrote a sensitive and mysterious coming of age story. Alexis’ experiences will push him towards an artistic path since writing will be a way to understand the world around him and who he really is.
