Program Note
In a snow-covered village lives the shepherd Ivan. Every morning he cleans up the manure and feeds the cows. One winter morning, a stranger arrives in the village in an expensive car and offers Ivan good work in the city. Ivan gladly accepts and the stranger takes Ivan from rural to city. In the city, Ivan meets a girl named Julia who runs the company with the guy took Ivan to the city. Julia buys for Ivan a fancy suit, tie and shoes. Transformed into a city business man, Ivan hopes to bring a fortune to his family. However, his new job is a petty fraud only he does not know. Coldness is the principal emotion of Head. Two Ears: Set in a shiny but inhumane, cruel cityscape, Ivan is exploited by the people of the city. Even when he realizes that he’s totally fooled, there’s no way he can survive in this no-mercy land.
