Program Note
The Incident unfolds two parallel stories about characters trapped in illogical spaces: Two young men and a police officer trapped in a stairway that seems endless. A family who discovers that the road in which they're traveling might be infinite. Frankly, Issac Ezban’s first feature, The Incident is more suitable for Flash Forward which is the section that presents the independent films that express experimental voices with clear senses of cinema as an art form, and The Incident exactly falls into that category. Only reason why it was selected for Midnight Passion section is because it is entertaining. Unlike other Midnight Passion films, The Incident doesn’t have any fancy actions or shockingly scary scenes. But it successfully draws the audience into the film to the end. And that is more than good enough to be a part of Midnight Passion. (Dosin PAK)
