Barry is a talented mechanic and family man whose life is torn apart on the eve of a zombie apocalypse. His sister, Brooke, is kidnapped by a sinister team of gas-mask wearing soldiers & experimented on by a psychotic doctor who unknowingly causes her to begin to develop a strange power over her zombified co-captives. While she plans her escape Barry goes out on the road to find her & teams up with Benny, Frank and Kelly - fellow survivors. After the discovery that the strange airborne virus has also caused all liquid based ′fuel sources′ to become unusable the boys invent an engine that runs on the methane gas emitted by the undead creatures that surround them. Together they build a ′zombie-proof′, metal-spiked, battle-truck and arm themselves to fight their way through hordes of flesh-eating monsters in a harsh Australian bushland in order to reclaim the only thing that matters in this dark apocalypse: family.
