The storyline is enticing in this controversial, low budget drama about a divided country, Korea. A strange, quiet young man(Yoon Kye-sang) goes back and forth between Seoul and Pyeongyang in only three hours and successfully delivers whatever isasked of him. This film takes a turn to melodrama as the quiet man’s next delivery is a woman, a girlfriend of the high rank North Korean refugee. North Korean spies are after the refugee to make the drama more complex. Screenwriter Kim Ki-Duk’s touch is evident with his unique and absurd creativity that defies reality or logic, his anti-abstract ideas so to speak. The director made a stunning debut with [Beautiful]. Though he is loyal to ideas of the writer Kim Ki-duk on the surface, he adds his own twists in expressing details of the film. It is a unique pleasure to watch this film searching for these fascinating and entertaining twists. The ending which does not lead to the catastrophe of war is the very proof of the twist.
