Does absolute love exist? It might exist for those who believe in it, and might not for those who don′t. The world, however, is not that simple. What if two people, one of them a believer and one a non-believer, meet and fall in love? Can we insist, at this point, that absolute love exists? What the director of [Before We Fall in Love Again] tries to communicate through this film is that absolute love is a mere dream, no more than a fantasy, because of the complexity of human nature itself. Our individual thoughts about love are so different from one another it makes absolutes nearly impossible. During Chang′s search for his wife Ling Yue who suddenly disappeared, he encounters Tong who insists that he is her lover. Chang and Tong realize that Ling Yue had loved them both at the same time. They soon go on the search for Ling Yue together. They also discover that Ling Yue had incessantly asked both of them, "Do you love me?". This is the only evidence that can lead to why Ling Yue had disappeared. When Chang and Tong accidentally meet again after one year, we are once again able to see how transient love can (Kim Ji-seok)
