Program Note
An upbeat, oddball comedy showing slices of the lives of a sexy group of friends. Four friends, Sean, Vincent, Jody and Lenny find themselves at a dead-end. Trapped in a twilight world of permanent night shift work they hang out every night together in the local cafe, before the night shift begins. Sean works in a hospital and Vincent is a supermarket stocker, an ideal job since it gives him time to
pursue his ′hobbies′. The affable Lenny works doing telephone directory inquiries and Jody works for an electronics firm. Sean pours his heart out to the others: his girlfriend has a day job and he hasn′t seen her since they had a bad fight three weeks ago. He′s beginning to wonder if she hasn′t moved out of their apartment. In the cafe after work, Vincent sets about making a play for Madeline, who is sitting alone with a comforting cup of hot chocolate. However, in Madeleine′s apartment later on he realizes that he has in fact picked up Sean′s girlfriend.
