Program Note
Summer, Saturday, 7:14am. In their early twenties, Leche, Javi, and Seba are still up; tired and bored, sitting on the curbside, as usual, drinking the last beer. Leche is obsessed with his bad luck. He just stepped on dogshit and is convinced that nothing good awaits him in the next couple of days. Javi finished high school but never went to college. He′s due at work in a couple of hours, driving a car with loud speakers used for advertising in the neighborhood, which he hates. His only real interest is his girlfriend Maria, who′s about to cut him loose. Seba is a quiet kid. The youngest of the trio, he′s still in high school and the weirdest characters and situations always cross his path. In this film the endless boredom of the characters from Montevideo, Uruguay is portrayed in an inventive, tranquil and humorous way by focusing on trivia and details.
