This film is based on a scenario by the famous TV drama writer Kim Soo-hyun. The daughter of a famous writer is kidnapped and sold off to a vice ring for sexual servitude. The writer bravely rescues her daughter, but when the young woman kills herself, the writer seeks to extract revenge. The film, along with the subsequent A Pillar of Mist, emphasizes the 80s as a time of feminism. The single mother is secretly dating, and her daughter is kidnapped just as she is meeting with her boyfriend.
