After a year abroad, Lili joins her eccentric mother on a taxing month-long tour through her family’s history and the landscape of her childhood. Lili is forced to confront her own frustrations and the flaws she inherited while trying to maintain her sense of humor. The story takes place during the one-month period that the main character spends with her family. Gathering around the mother and daughter, many relatives say what they think of the daughter. The director Liliana Torres, represented by leading actress, faces the eyes turned toward her. Such a storyline could make a film look artificial but this film is far from it; it rather convinces the audience with its wit and humor. At the end of the film, Lili’s performance reveals the character’s complicated feelings that are difficult to be expressed with words, her love for family and her loss of childhood. (RHEE Soue-won)
